St. Lucia
St. Lucia…so much more than just a honeymoon destination!

The Eastern Caribbean island nation has an explosive past. Born of volcanic activity (it is one of the rare places on earth where you can drive a car into the center of an active volcano), St. Lucia has been under British control and French control no less than seven times—each—since the French settlers first signed a treaty with the Carib Indians in 1660.

Today, St. Lucia (the only country in the world to be named after a woman – Saint Lucy of Syracuse) is part of the British Commonwealth of Nations. The climate is temperate year round. One of our favorite properties—Ladera—sits at 1100’ atop the Piton Mitan Ridge high above the Caribbean Sea overlooking the “Pitons” – famous volcanic spires which are a World Heritage site. It features only three walls, with the fourth open to the jungle below. What a unique guest experience!

One of our clients, Windjammer Landing which sits on the Northwestern part of the island, between the cruise port of Castries and tranquil beaches of Pigeon Island, features a kid-friendly beach for swimming and a plethora of watersport activities for teens and adults alike. It is an ideal family getaway.

History, topography, culture, climate and the wonderful people conspire to make this one of my all-time favorite Caribbean islands.

Coaching & Mentoring

There is no question that the Revenue Management role is becoming more and more complex in today’s environment. Revenue Matters is fortunate to be in a position to not only remain current, but help shape the future of this discipline. We have several engagements whereby a talented resource (at either the property or regional level) wants to gain an edge on the competition and has tapped into our knowledge base to help them excel in their careers. Here’s what one former client had to say:

“As a revenue management professional, Revenue Matters helped me see what I was doing well, and also what I needed to do differently to take things to the next level. They helped me step outside my day-to-day routine, re-prioritize my efforts and form new habits to become a much more strategic revenue manager.”
